Appreciation Award

International tribute to the Arab Red Crescent Organization, The Red Cross and Philanthropy International Organization for their actions in the relief project.

 

The Arab Organization for the Red Crescent and the Red Cross received the “appreciation award” from the United Nations International Human Rights Organization and the World Sanad Organization for their humanitarian work and efforts in the field of serving societies in the Arab Hemisphere. The tribute was presented to the organizations during a ceremony on the occasion of the “The Year Of Kindness” in the UAE with the presence of Sheikha Fatima Bidt Hasher Al Maktoum, Her Highness Sheikha Hind bid Faisal Al Qasimi, with Efi Papastylou, President of the Philanthropy International Organization (PIO) and International Director Of Academy Universal Global Peace and Rasha Faidi Special Ambassador for Representative of PIO and International Peace in the Emirates.

The inauguration ceremony was also attended by journalist Tuhama Bayrak Dar as who was nominated the “goodwill ambassador” and Dr . Ali Al-Qhais, Head of the newspaper “Al-Riyadh”, who received an appreciation award for the role of media representation by the newspaper “Al-Riyadh” in the field of humanitarian media coverage.

The organisation’s adviser and official representative, Ahmed Saeed Abu Hassan, received the “Appreciation Award” on behalf of its Secretary-General, Dr. Saeed Abu Hassan. Saleh bin Hamad Al- Suhaibani, who delivered a speech congratulating the esteemed relief organizations and the men on stage, expressing thanks and appreciation to the United Arab Emirates for organizing this event and for the activities they provide.

“The Year Of Kindness” refers to the view of generosity, through which it represents a beating heart for humanitarian aid and relief, and aims to form a body that moves everywhere, and offers the help it needs to any person that needs it wherever they are.

 

 

Abu Hassen explained that what he sees in the Arab nation in terms of waves of asylum displacement has turned the Arab Red Crescent and the Humanitarian Red Cross into a hot tin of constant movement to touch the need for refugees on the outskirts of fraternal countries. Relief action needs ongoing institutional work that requires monitoring, coordination and speed.

For her part, Ms. Efi Papastylou is the President and head of the charity organization PIO (Philanthropy International Organization), and praised the efforts of the coordination organization of the Arab Red Crescent and the Red Cross in their the role of unifying relief efforts through platforms in which she has invested her technical knowledge but has also directly contributed through her acquaintances. In addition , she points out that the Philanthropy International Organization plays an important role and projects in parallel with the objectives of the United Nations, and takes important and realistic measures to coordinate the response to areas of conflict, poverty, hunger and instability while conveying a clear message of vision.

The Secretary General of the International Organization for Islamic Relief, Hassan bin Dargis Sahabar, also praised the organization’s efforts, appreciating its activities and the coordinating work it leads, confirmed by the urgent need for refugees, indicating that it fills a large gap in the sustainability of its humanitarian work and industry, appreciating the support of government donors.
